Few figures feel as iconic as Wayne Gretzky and Andy Warhol. Created in 1984, this vibrant silkscreen captures Gretzky at the height of his early career, seen through Warhol’s unmistakable Pop Art lens.A genuine admirer and collector of Warhol’s work, Gretzky embraced the opportunity to sit for the artist. Warhol himself saw Gretzky as more than an athlete, calling him an entertainer, and this portrait reflects that larger-than-life presence. A compelling intersection of art and sport, this silkscreen print stands as a lasting testament to two legends at the peak of their influence.
