Phiale Painter
( fl c. 450–c. 425 BC). Greek vase painter. He is named after an Attic Red-figure phiale depicting a Dancing School (Boston, MA, Mus. F.A., 97.371), and he is attributed with a further 202 extant vases, all but seven of which are also Red-figure. These few White-ground works are his best, and include some genuine masterpieces.
