( fl c. 1450–70). German painter. He is named after an altarpiece (c. 1460; Nuremberg, St Lorenz) depicting St Wolfgang with other saints and scenes of the Resurrection. Other works are an altarpiece of the Virgin (ex-St Elizabeth, Wroclaw; Warsaw, N. Mus.), a Passion altar (c. 1460; Nuremberg, St Lorenz, on loan to the Dreieinigkeitskirche) and a St Catherine altar (1465; Schwabach, SS John and Martin).
