Ike.

Japanese calligraphers and painters. They belonged to the second generation of Nanga or Bunjinga (literati) painters in the 18th century, who shared an admiration for Chinese culture and the tradition of the scholar–amateur artist, while displaying remarkable individuality. Though deeply moved by Buddhist teachings, (1) Ike Taiga produced mostly secular works and was noted for his style and originality, which became a standard of Bunjinga quality. Taiga’s wife, (2) Ike Gyokuran, was an accomplished painter in her own right.
