Lynn Davis (geb. 1944) ist eine US-amerikanische Fotografin, die für ihre großformatigen Schwarz-Weiß-Aufnahmen bekannt ist. Sie wurde in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA geboren. Davis besuchte zwischen 1962 und 1966 die University of Colorado und die University of Minnesota und machte 1970 ihren Bachelor of Fine Arts am San Fransisco Art Institute. Später war sie Schülerin bei Berenice Abbott.

In ihren frühen Jahren betätigte sich Davis als Fotojournalistin und beschäftigte sich in ihrer Freizeit mit Porträtfotografie und dem Akt. Sie fand dabei stets die Schönheit in der menschlichen Form.

Seit ihrer ersten Reise nach Grönland im Jahre 1986 begann Davis sich mit den monumentalen Landschaften und bekannten kulturellen Stätten, für die sie heute international bekannt ist, zu beschäftigen. Ihre Reisen führten sie unter anderem nach Indien, China, Kenia, den Nahen Osten und immer wieder zurück zu den Eisbergen nach Grönland.

Ihre Arbeiten sind in den Sammlungen des Museums of Modern Art in New York, im Los Angeles County Museum of Art, im Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art , im Museum of Fine Arts in Houston und in vielen weiteren zu finden. 1999 stellte das J. Paul Getty Museum ihre Werke aus und das Center for Creative Photography in Tucson, Arizona widmete ihr im selben Jahr eine Einzel-Ausstellung.
