BROOKE SHADEN
We are pleased to announce that JoAnne Artman Gallery has been selected as an exhibitor at the 22nd Annual Photo LA Art Fair taking place January 17-21, 2013 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium with an Opening Night Preview Reception to take place on Thursday, January 17th, 2013 from 6-9pm.
Confirming Los Angeles’ rising status as a destination and marketplace for curators, collectors and art enthusiasts are the city’s many new galleries, world-class museums and outstanding university programs. Now in its 22nd year, photo l.a., the longest running art fair west of New York City, carries on its mandate to showcase emerging and established artists from around the globe alongside traditional and contemporary art galleries and private dealers.
During the fair we will be showcasing the work of fine art photographer Brooke Shaden. Brooke works to create new worlds within her photographic frame. By using painterly techniques as well as the square format, traditional photographic properties are replaced by otherworldly elements. Brooke's photography questions the definition of what it means to be alive.
