Art Kabinett: Yan Xing - The History of Fugue (2012)
In the Art Kabinett section of Art Basel Miami Beach, Galerie Urs Meile Beijing-Lucerne will present Yan Xing’s The History of Fugue (2012). In his homage to Robert Mapplethorpe (1946-1989), artist Yan Xing takes the art of staged photography to a new extreme by morphing slowly changing photographs into a video segment. Yan Xing recently received the Chinese Contemporary Art Award (CCAA) as the Best Young Artist.
