We will be holding an exhibition of new works by Fuyuko Matsui from January 19th for about 2 months here at Gallery Naruyama.
Fuyuko’s new works, which she has created after putting everything to her solo exhibition at Yokohama Museum of Art strikes me as a great energy of the painter as they make me believe that she is keeping the energy for another climax by going back to where she started.
'Kuso-zu could be understood as a painting that restates entropy.
Our body will eventually be scattered after being degenerated into the heat, the sound and the vibration of the ground combined with the friction of air.
The act of being and being out of the order will all end up in disorder.
Being irreversible. Not being able to return to the original state.
I will present a group of works that could be a prologue of Kuso-zu.
We will show a seasonal Kuso-zu along with her new works.
There will be an opening reception on the first day from 16:00-19:00.
We will be holding a couture presentation by Kazu Huggler in collaboration with Fuyuko Matsui on 2013/3/13 (Please note that the gallery is closed on Wednesday).
