Booth D13

Solo presentation by Clara Montoya

For Los Angeles Art Fair, gallery Marta Cervera, booth D13, presents Swift, a project by Clara Montoya.
In this group of pieces, Montoya playfully explores the relationship between line and colour in the perception of reality. All of them present some sort of variable that makes them mutable, the landscape around Parego 2, its cracks distorting subtly what lays behind, the essence or the puzzle Memento, the mutable and ephemerality of memories, the differenz colours in "swift" and its alternance with the limits of abstraction and Gelstalt.

Montoya's work is visually sensual and conceptually challenging. She bases her research for this work on the Derrida's destructuralism, Deleuze and Guattary analysis of the face, the smooth and the striped, linkting both together in the idea that the essence of line of the text is the same as of the line of the face and therefore guides our comprehention of the visual world and in society. The recognition of the eyes, colour and the line as the pilar for this group of work.
