Among the works included in this exhibition will be drawings by Jose de Ribera, Vicente Lopez, Bartolome Fernandez, Francisco Bayeu, Julio Gonzalez, Pablo Gargallo,
Juan Gris, Pablo Picasso and Joan Miro.
Artur Ramon hails from a family of dealers and antiquarians dating back to 1926, when
Mr. Ramon’s grandfather Artur Ramon Vendrell collaborated with Miquel Utrillo to create a collection of work for Charles Deering. He then began to exhibit furniture, sculpture, paintings, and drawings, which led to the establishment of Galeria Artur Ramon in Barcelona in 1942. 1n 1988, the ‘Sala d’art Artur Ramon’ opened as an antiques gallery dedicated to all aspects of collecting and promoting the fine arts.
Marianne Elrick-Manley has been a private dealer for over twenty years. Based in New York, Ms Elrick-Manley specializes in 19th and 20th Century American, European and Latin American works of art with a focus primarily on drawings. She has organized exhibitions and published critiques and articles on Latin American Art. Her most recent curatorial endeavor was a retrospective of Joaquin Torres-Garcia drawings entitled “Joaquin Torres-Garcia: Una Vida en Papel” which opened at the MuVim (Museu Valencia de la Il-lustracio I de la Moernitat) and traveled to Museo de Arte Contemporaneo, Conde Duque, Madrid in 2008 and 2009.
Exhibition hours are 11am to 6pm on Saturday, January 26, Tuesday, January 29, Wednesday January 30, Friday February 1st and Saturday, February 2nd. On Sunday January 27th, the exhibition will be open from 2 to 6 pm. Extended hours will occur on Monday January 28th and Thursday January 31st from 11am to 7pm.
