This one‐man exhibition is actually a rather rare event of several dimensions: (1) This is the latest series
of tapestries in Edgar Boeves’ 67 years of religious interpretive art. (2) This is fiber art at its best, full of
texture, color with cloth, leather and yarn sometimes painted for effect. (3) He has not had a gallery
exhibition inviting the public to purchase his work in over 10 years. The last exhibition occurred in our
gallery in Florida and Saugatuck.
The exhibition is in three parts, with the focus on the eight tapestries titled “Jesus as Healer “and the
nine tapestries titled “The Beatitudes”. In addition, there are a few pieces from Boeve’s personal
collection. His work is included in churches, seminaries, homes, public venues and more and is collected

The Opening and Artist Reception, at the Armstrong De Graaf International Fine Art, 403 Water Street
on Main in Saugatuck on April 6, 2013 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m, is a great opportunity to view this
extensive display and meet the artist. The show continues through May 15, on Thursdays, Fridays,
Saturdays and Sundays.
