Franz Xaver Wolf was born in Vienna in 1896, where he attended the Academy of Fine Art. In a bid to further his knowledge of painting, Wolf travelled widely and also attended the Academy of Fine Art in Munich. Known for his highly detailed and well finished paintings, Wolf’s work is in museums in Vienna and Berlin.
