BESCHREIBUNG:  A dramatic, magnificent and rare late 19th century bronze of a seated lion with excellent autumnal patination, the bronze with crisp hand chased intricate surface detail, raised on integral oval stepped plinth. This is an atelier cast from Barye's own foundry.
