This lithograph is from a portfolio of ten prints entitled "Canto General". It was inspired by
the writings of Pablo Neruda. He wrote this epic in 1950, and it is considered to be a sweeping panorama
of Latin America's history, geography, and contemporary reality, and perhaps his finest work. This print
is, in the opinion of this gallery, the finest image in this portfolio. It captures so much of the passion,
conviction, and searing intensity, that is so much a part of great work by Siqueiros. This print is in
excellent condition, and is nicely framed in a black museum box, with linen matting. It has a bold,
and excellent signature of Siqueiros, in blue pencil. It is numbered, from an edition of 200. Printed by
Fernand Mourlot, in Paris, France, in 1968, on Velin de rives. Prints from this suite are rare, and difficult to find.
