1943 - 1944   Solo show at Associated American Artists’ Gallery, New York; participates in Surrealist exhibition at the Sidney Janis Gallery, New York, 1944
1942 - 1945   Shows at: Pinacotheca Gallery, New York, 1942; Associated American Artist’s Gallery, New York, 1943; and Durlacher Gallery, New York, 1945
1945   Gives art lectures at Michigan State College
1946   Awarded Cranbrook prize, Michigan Artists Annual exhibition, Detroit
1948   Wins Wisconsin Centennial Prize, Wisconsin Artists Annual
1949, 1959   Solo exhibition at University Gallery, University of Minnesota
1951 - 1952   Solo exhibition at New Gallery, New York, 1951; teaches at University of Minnesota, 1952
1959 - 1960   1959-60 Teaches again at University of Minnesota, 1959; The American Federation of the Arts sponsors a circulating series of exhibitions in 1959-60, including Quirt’s retrospective exhibition, which opens at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, March 2, 1960 (other artists in this series are Milton Avery, Andrew Dasburg, Jose de Creeft, and William Pachner)
1968   Dies
