Began portrait commissions through agent Ernst Von Harringa. Due to the Depression, most people were unable to afford such luxuries, so McIntosh began work at Disney Studios painting backgrounds (oil on glass in classic realistic style) for Pinocchio, Fantasia and numerous other films.
