1883   Studied art at the Semen Rachinski fine art school, icon-painting at the Troitse-Sergiyeva Lavra
1884 - 1889   Studied modern painting at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture under V.E.Makovsky, V.D.Polenov and I.M.Prianishnikov.
1894 - 1895   Studied in the Imperial Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg under I.E.Repin
1909   Member of the Arkhip Kuindzhi Society (of which he was a founding member and chairman from 1913 to 1918). Exhibited in Paris.
1914   Active Member of the Imperial Academy of Arts
1945   Died in Berlin
1941   The artists sent his work for the group exhibition in Moscow
1940   Exhibition in the Riga Museum of Fine Arts, Latvia
1936   Exhibition in the Riga Museum of Fine Arts, Latvia
1931   Exhibited in Paris (D’Aligan)
1930   Exhibited in Amsterdam, Berlin and Belgrade
1929   Participated in the big exhibition of Russian art in Copenhagen and was highly acclaimed by the local press and art critics.
1928   Successfully exhibited in Prague. Nine of his works were bought from the exhibition, including one acquired by the National Gallery of Prague.
1925   Exhibited in Pittsburg
1924   Participated along with I.Grabar, B.Kustodiev, M.Nesterov, S.Vinogradov, V.Polenov, K.Yuon and other prominent artists in the Russian exhibition in the USA (New York, Grand Central Palace).
1923   Second personal exhibition in the Riga Museum of Fine Arts
1914   Active Member of the Imperial Academy of Arts
1911   Exhibited in Rome
