1926 - 1930   Studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago, IL and the Art Students League, New York, NY
1930   Returned to Chicago, IL; Painted views of the city and its working class
1936   Guggenheim Fellowship
1936   Commissioned by the Works Progress Administration to paint three monumental size murals for various Illinois Post Offices
1942 - 1945   Artistic war correspondent in the European Theater for Life Magazine and also worked for the Army Corps of Engineers
1953   Bohrod devoted himself exclusively to still life painting, often using a method known as ‘trompe l’oeil’
1948 - 1973   Replaced John Steuart Curry as the second Artist-in-Residence at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Madison, WI
1992   Died on April 3, 1992, at the age of 84, in Madison, WI
2004   Recipient of one of the Wisconsin Visual Art Lifetime Achievement Awards (The Wisconsin Visual Art Hall of Fame)
